Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute critical electrical maintenance activities while maintaining required quality and safety standards.
- Ensure safe, reliable and continuous availability of electrical equipment through effective preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Coordinate external repairs and maintenance activities with other functions.
- Manage planned turnaround and shutdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure equipment is maintained, tested and calibrated within the required schedules.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent repetitive failures.
- Perform risk assessments for critical maintenance activities.
- Ensure work is executed with appropriate permits and safety assessments.
- Conduct training and skill development activities for team members.
- Manage planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities across assigned plant areas.
Electrical Equipment Knowledge
Candidates should have knowledge and experience related to:
- Transformers
- HT / LT Motors
- VSD
- UPS
- Battery Chargers
- Battery Sets
- Switchgear
- Protection Systems
Maintenance Planning & Cost Control
- Prepare electrical maintenance cost estimates and budgets.
- Monitor maintenance expenditure and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Execute daily, weekly and monthly electrical maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with planning and plant maintenance teams.
- Ensure availability of required manpower, materials and other resources.
- Maintain availability of critical electrical spares.
- Support and implement MOCs and CAPEX activities.
- Support equipment life-cycle and obsolescence planning.
Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable PM and PdM plans.
- Ensure implementation of applicable CAT and Meridium recommendations.
- Participate in safety committees and implement required action plans.
- Support system and procedure compliance audits.
- Ensure adherence to statutory, Electrical Safety Maintenance and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and equipment manufacturers.
- Support contract management and material/service PR activities.
- Maintain and update electrical equipment repair, diagnostic testing, MIS and reporting documentation.

Candidate Requirements
- Candidates should have 3–7 years of relevant industrial/electrical workshop maintenance experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in the Electrical Engineering/Technology stream is necessary as stated in the job details.

- Knowledge of transformers, HT/LT motors, VSD, UPS, batteries, switchgear and protection systems is desirable.
