What Will the Selected Candidate Do?
The QA/QC professional will support various inspection and quality-control activities at the project site. The role involves checking materials, welding activities, piping systems and documentation to ensure that work is carried out according to applicable requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Check incoming materials and Mill Test Certificates during the IMIR clearance process.
- Ensure materials comply with applicable codes and company specifications.
- Assist with welding procedure qualification activities for structural, tank and piping works.
- Prepare and maintain PQR (Procedure Qualification Records).
- Support the preparation of WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).
- Verify welding consumables and assist with required qualification testing.
- Prepare job procedures and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) for piping, structural and tank activities.
- Participate in periodic internal quality audits at the project site.
- Inspect fit-up and welded joints before final acceptance.
- Carry out welding surveillance before, during and after welding activities.
- Coordinate and maintain records related to NDT inspections.
- Coordinate with the customer/client team for day-to-day inspection requirements.
- Prepare and review piping test packages.
- Verify test-package activities at the site and identify pending work.
- Support NDT clearance of piping test packages.
- Participate in hydrotest witnessing for tank and piping systems.
