Role & Responsibilities
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing and supervising construction activities related to building structures, industrial facilities and other civil works.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings
- Planning and coordinating construction activities
- Coordinating with project managers and site supervisors
- Monitoring project progress against timelines and budgets
- Conducting site inspections
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Resolving technical issues at project sites
- Managing stormwater and drainage considerations
- Coordinating with contractors and vendors
- Supporting smooth execution of construction projects
Qualification & Skills
Candidates should have:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design
- Planning and project coordination skills
- Knowledge of stormwater management and drainage systems
- Understanding of building construction, industrial projects or similar civil works
- Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD or equivalent
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work extended hours on-site when required
- Commitment to safety, quality and timely project delivery
