Job Responsibilities
Selected candidates may be responsible for:
- Designing, planning and supervising construction projects including buildings, roads, bridges and infrastructure.
- Preparing engineering drawings, plans, specifications and project documentation.
- Conducting site inspections to ensure construction work follows approved designs and standards.
- Coordinating with architects, contractors, consultants and other engineering teams.
- Calculating quantities of materials, labour and equipment required for projects.
- Monitoring project progress, quality, cost and completion schedules.
- Reviewing and approving construction materials and methods to ensure required quality.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues encountered during construction.
- Supervising contractors and workers to ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently.
- Communicating project updates, technical information and recommendations to management and clients.
