NOTIFICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF GRADUATE APPRENTICES UNDER APPRENTICES ACT,1961
Baira Siul Power Station, a unit of NHPC Limited (A Mini Ratna Category-I Government of india Enterprise) invites applications from eligible Graduate Engineers for undergoing Apprenticeship Training under Apprentice Act, 1961 in the following disciplines :

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• Applicants must have completed either a 4-year Engineering Degree or a 3-year Diploma Engineering program in respective disciplines.
• The degree or diploma should be obtained from an institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) through regular mode.

Age Limit

• The age of applicants should be between 18 to 30 years.
• Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL categories as per Government directives.

Experience and Training:

• Applicants who have completed 5 years or more after passing the qualifying Degree/Diploma as of 01.04.2024 are not eligible to apply under this notification.
• Candidates who have acquired prior training or experience for more than one year as of 01.04.2024 are also ineligible to apply.
• Individuals who have already completed their apprenticeship training, terminated their apprenticeship training midway, or are pursuing apprenticeship in any other organization or any other units of NHPC are not eligible to apply.

Please ensure that you meet all the specified eligibility criteria before applying for the position.

2. Stipend:

• Graduate Apprentice Trainees: Rs. 9000/- per month
• Diploma Apprentice Trainees: Rs. 8000/- per month
• Stipend is applicable during the one-year Apprenticeship at Baira Siul Power Station in accordance with the norms of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, and guidelines from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, as amended.

3. Reservation:

• Seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) and EWS as per the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, and government guidelines.

4. Preference Criteria:

• Priority given to applicants from Tehsil: Salooni & Churah of District Chamba, adjoining areas of Baira Siul Power Station, based on proof of residence.
• Second preference to applicants from District Chamba other than Tehsil: Salooni & Churah.

5. Eligibility:

• Candidates must meet age and educational qualification criteria as of the closing date of advertisement.
• Candidates awaiting results are ineligible to apply.

6. Selection:

• Selection for the Apprenticeship Trainee role does not guarantee or confirm any right for appointment in NHPC Limited.

7. Facilities:

• Selected candidates will not be provided accommodation or other facilities during the training period. They are responsible for making their own arrangements.

Selection Procedure:

a) Eligible and shortlisted candidates will receive a call letter via email for the interview, including details of the date, time, and venue. Selection will be based on:

• Percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification relevant to the respective trade
• Performance in the Personal Interview
• Successful verification of documents

b) Weightage for selection criteria:

• Educational Qualification: 20%
• Technical Qualification: 40%
• Personal Interview: 40%

c) Selected candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by the District Civil Surgeon or equivalent authority before engagement as an Apprentice Trainee, in accordance with the Apprentice Act, 1961.

d) No Travel Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) will be provided for the Personal Interview or verification of documents.

10. Baira Siul Power Station (NHPC Limited) reserves the right to:

• Increase, decrease, or cancel the number of vacancies for apprentice trades.
• Add or delete any trades to fulfill the minimum requirement of the power station for engaging Graduate Apprentices.
• Cancel this Advertisement/Notification without providing any reason thereof.
  (Please note: Candidate registration, if not successful on the Apprenticeship portal, their candidature cannot be considered for Apprenticeship Training.)

How to apply:

• a) The candidate must go through the terms & conditions as mentioned in the notification.
• b) The candidate must have a valid mobile number & E-Mail ID before applying for apprenticeship. Eligible candidates should register themselves on the Apprenticeship portal at www.nats.education.gov.in and apply through the portal. The Registration number generated in the portal should be mentioned in the relevant column of the Apprenticeship Application form of Baira Siul Power Station.
• c) The candidate has to take a printout of the Apprenticeship Application form and send it along with a passport-size photograph, all the self-attested certificates of Educational qualification, B.Tech./Diploma marksheet & certificate, Domicile certificate, Caste Certificate, copy of Aadhar card, PAN card, etc., to the below-mentioned address by Speed Post/Registered Post/ by Hand within 15 days of Notification.
