Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily routine checkups at the Gas Compressor Plant to identify and prevent operational issues.
- Perform maintenance and Maintenance Overhaul of reciprocating compressors according to OEM manuals.
- Troubleshoot compressor, driver and process-related issues.
- Monitor compressor packages and associated plant equipment.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure there are no oil or gas leakages.
- Ensure availability of required mechanical tools and spare parts at the site.
- Coordinate operational and maintenance activities with the Project Manager.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and maintain records for audits.
- Monitor critical parameters including pressure, temperature, flow and equipment running conditions.
- Maintain hourly operational records and daily logs.
- Record maintenance, repair activities and material or spare consumption.
- Follow proper procedures for disposal of empty and burnt oil barrels.
- Carry out recommended POL make-up activities on running equipment, including force-feed lubricators.
- Execute all activities according to safe operating procedures and established safety practices.
- Immediately report plant abnormalities to the Project Manager.
- Prepare and maintain MIS records, checklists, Daily Progress Reports and monthly reports.
- Coordinate with internal and external agencies during site visits and project activities.
- Maintain documents required for internal and external audits, including ONGC audits.
Required Skills and Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in operation and maintenance of oil and gas processing or process units.
- Experience with multidisciplinary operating teams.
- Practical experience in operating reciprocating gas compressor packages and associated utilities.
- Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of EHS practices applicable to oil and gas field operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and equipment maintenance capabilities.
