Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Mechanical Site Engineer in monitoring mechanical construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities.
- Supervise site activities related to boilers, turbines, auxiliaries, piping, pumps, fans, coal handling and other BOP mechanical systems.
- Check work execution against approved drawings, specifications, method statements and applicable codes and standards.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors and vendors for day-to-day site activities and help resolve technical issues.
- Monitor quality, project progress, safety and compliance of mechanical works.
- Verify measurements, inspection requests, material and equipment installation and testing records.
- Support the preparation of daily and weekly progress reports, site observations, inspection reports and punch-point status.
- Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and ensure timely closure of site issues.
- Maintain proper site documentation and coordinate with PMC discipline engineers and the Project Manager.
- Review construction procedures, practices and activities to ensure compliance with standards, specifications, workmanship requirements and project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internationally accepted construction practices.
- Support the development and implementation of construction documentation procedures.
- Check personnel qualifications and construction equipment calibration certificates.
- Monitor EPC contractor manpower and equipment mobilization and ensure proper assignment according to construction schedules and quality requirements.
- Support the project team in maintaining safety, quality and timely execution of mechanical construction activities.

Candidate Requirements
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 to 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in Mechanical Construction and Erection.
- Knowledge of BTG and BOP mechanical systems.
- Experience in Boiler, Turbine, Piping, Pumps, Fans and Mechanical Auxiliaries will be relevant.
- Experience in Testing, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities will be an advantage.
